Douglas Carman has been practicing immigration and nationality law since 2004, with experience as Managing Attorney for Hardship/Persecution Waivers and Asylum at a prominent New York law firm, as well as with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Offices in Russia and in Ukraine.

Douglas holds a law degree from the University of Washington School of Law, as well as a Master's Degree in International Studies from the Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington. He has numerous honors, including appointments as a Jackson Fellow and as a Fulbright Scholar. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and he is a member of the New York and Pennsylvania State Bars.
